Proximity Costa Rica creates mobile app and provides ongoing software development for Dominion Enterprises
Dominion Enterprises (DE) is more than a marketplace to connect buyers and sellers in the specialty vehicle, automotive, real estate, and travel industries. Their commitment to innovation and service is evidenced through their leading-edge technology — from website design and hosting, Internet and email marketing, to data management and distribution.
This client came to Proximity in 2011 with a particular need for one of their multiple business divisions. The need for additional talent and with limited resources they were not able to integrate their teams in the multiple locations they have.
An initial team of two developers was assigned in May 2011 and by December that same year the team had grown to nine members, and up to fifteen the following year. The client has been working with Proximity since then, within multiple divisions, projects, and technologies.
One of the main projects we have worked on is the CRM solution they offer to their clients – around 22,000 car dealers across the US.
We follow scrum-based Agile software development where the client gets full transparency into the development cycle, including constant line of communication, frequent exchange of artifacts and builds, and real time collaboration.

The team at Proximity has been part of a larger team in the US, working on the design and development of a mobile version for the CRM tool that our client offers to its clients: The Dealer CRM mobile solution. The app enables a dealership’s salespeople to be mobile and more productive during the research and data- gathering phase of the car buying process. The solution includes:
A proprietary algorithm to match consumers with vehicles in the dealer’s inventory
VIN scan for quick entry of the consumer’s Vehicle of Interest or Trade-In
Ability to scan the consumer’s driver’s license and update the buyer information immediately within the CRM
The mobile solution reduces the time consumers spend in the sales process. It also engages automotive buyers with familiar mobile technology within the dealership. With an easy-to-use interface, dealership salespeople and greeters achieve greater productivity with each customer interaction. Providing efficient process management with customer engagement across multiple channels including: web, email, phone, social media, and text.
The application was developed for iOS and Android and the back end is built using Microsoft Dot Net with AngularJs.
